Sant Antoni hosts the IV Ibiza Chess Festival this Friday and Saturday, 2 and 3 October 2026, at the town’s Estació Marítima. The Ajuntament de Sant Antoni de Portmany expects around 150 players from 20 federations and countries.
There are three tournaments across the two days:
- Friday 2 October, 17:00 — International Blitz Tournament
- Saturday 3 October, 15:00 — International Rapid Tournament
- Saturday 3 October, 16:00 — Amateur Tournament
You do not have to play to take part. The organisers confirm that the competition venue can be visited, and the festival will be streamed live on YouTube, Twitch and Instagram, so the games can be followed from anywhere on the island or off it.
The official festival website confirms the dates, the fourth edition and the Estació Marítima as the playing venue, and publishes the player lists for the Blitz, Rapid and Amateur sections. The organisers’ contact address is info@chessibiza.com.
The Estació Marítima is Sant Antoni’s ferry terminal, on the seafront in the centre of town, which makes it one of the easiest venues on the island to reach by bus or on foot from the port area.
No spectator admission price has been published. If you plan to watch in person rather than online, it is worth asking the organisers first.
